It will also address strategies which could strengthen economic and trade cooperation between China and the continent in the 21st Century.
The summit will give Kenya an opportunity to present and draw increased Chinese support for her development projects, especially in agriculture where China has indicated willingness to help in the establishment of centres for agricultural technology demonstrations.
The meeting is also expected to discuss ways of involving more Chinese companies in agricultural infrastructure development, production of equipment and produce processing.
China has said it would continue providing concessional loans to enhance Africa's capacity for sustainable development in the next three years.
Other areas of focus during the talks will be China's development assistance and debt relief to Africa, establishment of an African cultural visitors programme, cooperation in education, medical care and public health support.
The summit will review the growth of friendship and cooperation between the People's Republic of China and African countries in the past 50 years since the inauguration of their diplomatic relations.
It will also formulate an action plan to chart the course for China-Africa cooperation in all areas in the next three years and promote friendship, peace, cooperation and development.
Kenya and China enjoy close bilateral ties and have signed various bilateral agreements.
