Benguela: Children to benefit from sheltering centre (14/07/08)

 

A regional sheltering and social reinsertion centre for children will be built his month, at Catumbela district, in the Central Benguela province, Angop has learnt.

 
 
The centre is to accommodate about 1,500 children and will comprise study and administrative wards, libraries, workshops, warehouses, laundries, sport fields, among others.

After laying down the foundation stone for its building, the minister of Social Welfare, João Baptista Kussumua, said this infrastructure will contribute to the teaching and professional training of children in Benguela.

Attended the act the deputy governor of Benguela for social sphere, João Evangelista Basilio, the municipal administrators of Benguela and Lobito, Manuel Francisco and Amaro Ricardo, respectively.
