Dr. Cosmas Zavazava is Head of the Programme for Least Developed Countries, Small Island Developing States & Emergency Telecoms. He works in the Telecommunication Development Bureau of the International Telecommunication Union. He has formulated and implemented a host of ICT projects at national, regional and international levels aimed at introducing new, low-cost and appropriate technologies for the general development of developing countries, and for disaster mitigation.
Dr. Zavazava holds a Masters degree in Business Administration (Zimbabwe), a Master of Arts in International Relations (USA), a Master of Laws in Information Technology and Telecommunications (United Kingdom), a Ph.D in Multilateral Trade (Switzerland), Bachelor of Business Administration (USA), and Diplomas in Systems Engineering and Telecommunications (Japan and Romania).
