| Burkard W. Oberle is the Country Director for Kenya for the World Food Programme (WFP) and has been so since August 2006. Prior to this appointment he was Director of the Office of EDD, Results Based Management Division for the WFP in Rome. Mr Oberle has also served as Country Director for Afghanistan, Pakistan, Uganda, Somalia and Rwanda, as well as holding the position of Director of Operations for Iran. He holds a Masters in Economics from the University of Colorado, US and an BA in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Regensburg in Germany. |
