Kristin Helz joined CARE Kenya in February 2007 as the monitoring and evaluation advisor for the Infant and Young Child Feeding project in the Dadaab refugee camps, where she collaborated with CARE partners to integrate IYCF indicators into the UNHCR Health Information System. Kristin led the CARE El Wak Sub-Office as project manager of the Mandera Water and Sanitation Program from December 2007 through April 2008.
She is currently a Senior Sector Manager in the Nairobi office of CARE Kenya, coordinating WASH and livelihoods programs in Northern and Western Kenya. She represents CARE in the Hunger and Safety Net Programme in its role to contribute to the design, upcoming launch and implementation of the DFID funded social protection program aimed at supporting the Kenyan government in establishing a social welfare system.
